Whether you’re discovering the wildlife in your own backyard, swimming in a lake for the first time at summer camp or being a citizen scientist and observing bees in your neighborhood park, every outdoor adventure grows your “I’ve got this” attitude. And once you unlock that confidence, you’ll aim as high as the stars you see outside your cabin window.
Camping as a Girl Scout is a special place for self-discovery, laughter, fun and friendships. Camp provides a positive environment where girls are nurtured, respected and challenged. Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi is committed to providing quality program and plenty of opportunity for every girl at camp. The health and safety of our campers and the caliber of programming are our primary concerns and we strive to offer every girl a well-rounded and complete camp experience. Emphasis is placed on group interactions and activities that help girls define themselves. With positive adult role models, experiences that boost self-esteem, new friends, and exciting activities, girls will have the time of their lives at camp.
Canoeing solo across a lake. Learning to canter on a horse. Counting stars in the night sky.
These are just a few of the experiences awaiting Girl Scouts who are ready to explore the great outdoors. Camp and outdoor experiences can be enjoyed during summer camp, day camp, or year-round.
