Join us at Camp Iti Kana in Wiggins, where Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts will develop their leadership skills through teen mentoring training. Girls participating in the Program Aide (PA) and Volunteer-in-Training (VIT) programs are rising leaders who bring energy, creativity, and compassion to every event they support. During training, they will gain valuable experience by sharing skills and testing their knowledge.
Training will focus on learning how to lead with confidence, communicate effectively, and adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of various age groups. They will practice hands-on skills like event setup, safety checks, and guiding group transitions. Through role-play and reflection, they explore how to encourage participation, resolve minor conflicts, and model inclusive behavior.
Check-in for this overnight training begins at 4:00 pm. Dinner, breakfast, and lunch are included. Your packing list can be found attached to your event confirmation in the "MY Events" tab of your MYGS account under the Additional Documentation section.
