Girl Scouts in 3rd-6th grades are invited to join Entergy US Women in Nuclear for a fun introduction to nuclear science and technology. As part of National Nuclear Science Week, the girls will spend the day doing hands-on activities that explain and demonstrate nuclear principles and concepts. By the end of the day, they will have completed the requirements to earn the Girl Scouts Get to Know Nuclear patch.
The event starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. at Energy's Nuclear Headquarters in Jackson, MS. Lunch will be provided. This is not a drop-off event. Girls must be accompanied by an adult, and troops must have the proper girl/adult ratio. This is a member event; however, non-member adult chaperones are welcome. A signed media release is requested. Copies of the releases are attached to your event confirmation in the "MY Events" tab of your MYGS account under the Additional Documentation section.
