Join fellow Brownie, Junior, and Cadette Girl Scouts at Signature D Horses in Decatur, MS, for a fun-filled day learning the basics of horseback riding, horse care, and ride preparation. Discover what it takes to be a good rider, including understanding horse body language and controlling your horse's speed while riding.
Please remember to bring a helmet and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (no Crocs or flip-flops). Don't forget to pack your lunch and a water bottle in your daypack. All participants must complete the Girl Scout waiver and bring it to the event. A copy of the waiver will be attached to your event confirmation in the "MY Events" tab of your MYGS account under the Additional Documentation section.
Girls must be accompanied by an adult, and troops should maintain the appropriate girl-to-adult ratio. This is a member-only event, and no tagalongs are allowed. However, non-member adults or chaperones can register for $5. Check-in will begin at 8:45 AM.
