From basic tent camping, fire building, cooking, and Leave No Trace principles to practicing compass and knife skills, Basic Outdoor Living Skills training teaches volunteers to rely on each other, make connections, learn from each other, and make a difference. Volunteers are trained and ready to make a camping experience safe, follow Girl Scout Safety Activity Checkpoints, and ensure the experience is girl-led.
Check-in starts at 8:30 am. Check-out will be the following day at noon. Your packing list can be found attached to your event confirmation in your MYGS account. If you have any questions or need help registering, please get in touch with Kyna McCalpin at 601-326-5648 or kmccalpin@gsgms.org. We are happy to help.
