Learning about the US government and democracy is crucial for young people as it empowers them to become informed, active participants in their community and society. During this self-paced, on-demand virtual course, girls learn about local, state, and national government. They will complete art projects related to the branches of government, state capitals, and local government issues, and craft letters to a local representative highlighting an issue within their community. The girls will submit their projects within the course and receive feedback from the VicTreeFi team. Expect to utilize videos, fillable forms, markers, and paper during this course.
Cadette Girl Scouts can use this course to complete the steps related to the Democracy badge. This course will take approximately one hour to complete. If you need to pause the course at any time, your progress will be saved, and you can resume at any time.
