Girls will learn the proper paddling strokes, techniques, and water safety as well as the parts of a kayak and its proper usage from trained Paddlesport facilitators in this week-long camp course that includes all the basics of flat water recreational kayaking, learning how to prepare for a kayak trip, entering and exiting a kayak, outdoor awareness, navigating waterways, and encountering wildlife when they test their skills and knowledge at Pearl River Kayaks in Brandon. Girls who complete this camp session are eligible for Adventures in Canoeing, scheduled for July 13-15 in Milton, FL. Activities in this camp session complete the requirements for the following badges: Eco Trekker(c) and Paddling (s).

Deposit: To register, you must pay the $50 non-refundable deposit. The final payment is due May 16th.
Camp Information Packet: The camp information packet, which contains a packing list, driving directions, and general camp instructions, can be found by clicking on your event confirmation on the "My Events" tab of your MYGS account.
Camp Add-ons: In addition to the camp fee, you can purchase camp shirts, trading post deposits, and camp care packages.
Nutty Money and Cookie Dough (Program Credits): If you request to use nutty money or cookie dough to pay for a portion of your camp fees, you must complete your registration first and pay the deposit to reserve your spot. We will not accept program credits as payment for the deposit. All program credits will be applied back office after registration is completed.
Health Forms: All campers must submit the appropriate health forms through CampDocs.com two weeks before the start of their camp session. No documentation will be accepted at check-in. The link to the health forms will be emailed after registration. If you don't receive the link within seven business days, contact Kyna McCalpin.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: If you cancel your registration by May 16th, you will receive a full refund minus the $50 non-refundable deposit. If you cancel your registration by June 1st, we will refund up to 50% of the registration fee. No cancellation requests received after that time will be eligible for a refund unless there is written notification from a medical professional.
