Join us at the Jackson County FabLab for a day of techy fun at our Coding Basics badge workshop. This exciting, hands-on experience is just for Brownie Girl Scouts like you, ready to explore how coding helps make our world go around, from video games and apps to smart gadgets and music playlists! You will create algorithms (that's a fancy word for step-by-step instructions) and see how sequencing works, play fun screen-free games to understand how coding happens, discover real women in computer science who are making a difference, imagine how to use coding to help people, animals or the planet and earn your Coding Basics badge before the day is done. So pack your imagination, curiosity, and Girl Scout spirit. Let's get coding and show the world how Brownies can code for good!

Check-in begins 15 minutes before the session starts. An adult must accompany the girls, and troops should be in the correct girl-to-adult ratio. This is a member event; no tagalongs. However, if you are a non-member adult/chaperone, you can register for $3. If you need help registering, please contact Kyna McCalpin at 601-326-5648 or kmccalpin@gsgms.org.
