Join Gulf Coast Eco Tours in exploring the ecosystem of the Cypress Swamp on a boardwalk Eco hike.  Cadette Girl Scouts will plan and take an outdoor trek with minimal environmental impact.  Senior Girl Scouts will become eco explorers as they get hands-on experience with environmental issues and help to make positive changes to the environment.  The girls will work at the Pearlington Library for the first half of the workshop and then drive to a nearby trail to hike in the Cypress Swamps.  This fun day of badge work is $15 for Girl Scouts and $5 for adults.  Badges are sold separately.

Check-in will open at 1:00 p.m.; the workshop starts at 1:30 p.m.  Parents and chaperones will need to provide transportation to the Trail.  Please bring your day pack with the items you need for a hike:  water, snacks, first aid, bug spray, sunscreen, and so on.  Wear comfortable shoes that can get dirty.  We will be outside in nature.  A signed waiver is required.  A copy of the waiver is attached to your event confirmation in the "MY Events" tab of your MYGS account under the Additional Documentation section.  You will receive directions to the trails upon arrival at the Library.  If you need assistance registering, please contact Kyna McCalpin at 601-326-5648 or kmccalpin@gsgms.org.
