What better way to find common ground than to visit the African American Military History Museum in Hattiesburg, MS, and learn about the Medal of Honor, the highest commendation for bravery in the military? Explore the core values in military and civilian life and learn about military veterans and civilians who exemplified those values while touring and visiting the museum. Through event activities, girls will connect to their citizenship within different groups, identify ways to improve their roles as community members and establish their roles as citizens and their responsibilities to their communities. Cadettes who complete this workshop will receive their Finding Common Ground badge. Juniors will receive the Inside Government badge.
This is a member event; however, if you are a non-member adult/chaperone, you can register for $7. Please contact Kyna McCalpin at 601-326-5648 or kmccalpin@gsgms.org to complete your registration.
