The 5 Skills

GOAL SETTING – Girl Scouts set sales goals individually and with their troop or group, create a plan to reach their goals, and they develop Cooperation and Team Building skills all along the way!
DECISION MAKING – Girl Scouts help decide how their team will spend their cookie money,
furthering Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills.
MONEY MANAGEMENT – Girl Scouts take orders, handle customers’ money and gain valuable and Practical Life Skills around financial literacy.
PEOPLE SKILLS – Girl Scouts learn how to talk to, listen to and work with all kinds of people during the sale. These experiences help girls develop Healthy Relationship and Conflict Resolution skills they can use throughout life.
BUSINESS ETHICS – A Girl Scout is honest and responsible at every step of the cookie sale. Her business ethics here reinforce the Positive Values she is developing as a Girl Scout.

PRODUCT SALES – Cookies and a whole lot more!

Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi offers two product sales programs each year ... our fall program of nuts, candies and magazines, and the annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale program beginning in January.

Girl Scout Product Sale programs are much more than mere fundraisers. They are powerful, hands-on leadership and entrepreneurial programs where girls learn goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics ... skills essential to leadership, to success, and to life.

When you buy a box of cookies from a Girl Scout, you get great tasting cookies, and she gets a lifetime of learning!

2017 Cookie Season begins January 14, 2017!
